The tools I use to create amazing websites that convert.
Having the opportunity to create 1,000’s of websites and helping people with their online businesses you learn a lot about the tools available. There are a lot of them.
I thought it would be helpful to create a list of my go-to tools to save you some time.
This list gets updated often, so be sure to bookmark it for future reference.
Please note: Some of the bellow links are affiliate links. I do receive a small commission if you purchase these products through my link. I am recommending the product because of how it has helped me in my business, not because of the money I receive. The money received goes towards producing this awesome content, so for those that do purchase I thank you!
My can’t live without tools!
If you are going to have an online business you are going to need a hosting account. There are hundred of options out there so it can be quite overwhelming to figure out which one is best.
Siteground : I recommend WP engine to anyone that is taking their online business or blog seriously. They are made for WordPress. They have WordPress experts on staff and their servers are built around hosting WordPress websites. They do all of the technical stuff for you like backups, WordPress core updates, WordPress plugin updates, and are super secure. Not to mention they are one of the fastest hosts around.
WordPress plugins – Plugins you should consider
WordPress SEO: The only SEO plugin you need! Created by yoast, this plugin is a game changer for ranking your site. ITs not a set and forget solution so make sure you set it up and use the tools!
Updraft Plus: Your website is your business. If it goes down so does your business. Having a backup plugin is a necessary evil, and this one is great. I do recommend using Siteground for your hosting, nightly backups done automatically is a real time saver.
Genesis framework: This is the framework I use to build all of my clients sites. HTML 5, schema.org, mobile responsive, SEO optimized, secure, clean code, and great looking child themes are the reasons I go with the Genesis Framework.
Themedy: Great place to find more child themes for the Genesis framework.
Elegant themes: If you don’t want to mess around with a framework and just want a theme then elegant themes has some great themes.
Get Stuff done
Dropbox: Awesome tool for sharing files. Keeps all of your needed files in the cloud. It is where I store my website backups, just in case.
Evernote: I use Evernote to organize my entire business. From future ideas to to-do lists it is my go to tool.
Building an e-Commerce site is easier than ever with WordPress.
Woocommerce: WooCommerce is great if you are selling physical products. With great support and add-ons WooCommerce will have your online store up and running very quickly.
Easy Digital Downloads: This is the plugin I recommend for anyone selling a downloadable product. Easy to use, light weight, and awesome add ons you can not go wrong. I use EDD to sell e-books on some of my affiliate site, works great.
Paypal: The industry standard for accepting payments on your site. If you are just selling one product you may want to just use paypal to do so.
Stripe: Another great payment processor. Easy to setup and easy to use with the 2 plugins I recommended.
